Herd Moms of Rocky Hill Kikos
To raise high quality goats you have to gather high quality does as well as bucks. I narrowed in on some genetics I was interested in and traveled across many states to buy herd moms for the 2018 breeding season. In 2019 I purchased six Sundance Kid daughters and other performance proven does to add to my herd for 2019 breeding season.
In 2020 and 2021 I have culled hard removing unwanted qualities from my herd. I've added some great replacements from my own genetics as well as purchased some of the best yearlings available across the country. In 2021 I purchased the top selling does at both the CUSKA Spring fling and BPI sale.
In 2022, 2023, and 2024, I plan to continue to retain several high quality RHK girls in my herd as I continue to expand trying to meet the increasing demand for high quality Kikos.

I had the opportunity to purchase this amazing doe at the 2021 CUSKGA Sale. High selling doe at $5400, and in my opinion, she's worth it! I'll be retaining several of her offspring in my doe herd.
I attended the CUSKGA sale to deliver a buck and I had planned on picking up a couple of "value buys" to add to my doe ranks. After looking over the does in the barn and spending a lot of time talking to Jim Hicks about his consignments and looking over his performance data, I had a change of plans. Like myself, Jim is a big believer of on farm data to make management decisions and he brought his best out of about 60 does. I'm proud to say I took home his top two yearlings of his 2020 kid crop based on his data. I'm sure they will do a great job at my farm. |
BHR Blackberry Winter 249 & BHR Black Ice 250
Blackberry Winter and Black Ice are twin 2014 100% NZ does out of BHR Zion. I had the opportunity to purchase them from Charles and Sherri Reece at Dean Hill Kikos. These girls are truly impressive!! Very large frame, low maintenance does. They rank in my top 5 of all my does and I plan to retain several of their girls as replacements.
Their pedigrees include CCR Moose, 007, Sunboy 139, Terminator's XX and Tasman Zorro!

RDH Donnaiah
I had the opportunity to purchase Donnaiah from Charles and Sherri Reece at Dean Hill Kikos when I purchased RDH Strike Gold. She’s an excellent mom, with great height, length, and conformation. She kidded twin Strike Gold doelings and never let them out of her sight.

SDR Pia Bear
I had the opportunity to purchase SDR Pia Bear from Dick and Sally Rutherford this spring when I picked up CGI Spitfire. Pia Bear was the last daughter of ECR Petunia. I had the opportunity to see Petunia at Dick and Sally's farm and she was something to see, great udder!
Sire: SDR Zeus Sting Bear (Heslington Sting) Dam: ECR Petunia (Rusty/Gloria) Genetics Include: Heslington Sting, Goatex Generator, ECR Rusty(2), ECR Gloria(2), Sunkist 113(2)<full sister to Loverboy> I flushed Pia Bear in 2021 to Strike Gold and i have some exceptional kids from that cross.
